Wishing Karen a wonderful Birthday!! We hope all your wishes come true!

We bought Will a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads so he could go on bike rides with us and he loves them!! We let him pick out what he wanted, so he picked Tigger. He also enjoys riding on the back of the bike with either Mommy or Daddy! Will loves his new stuff so much that he wants to wear it all the time...he even tried to wear it to bed last night!! We have always said he needs a helmet on at all times...I guess we got our wish! He is such a funny boy!
Haley, Emory Anne, Will and I took advantage of this great weather by spending some time at the zoo yesterday! We had so much fun and are so glad they could join us. Here are some cute pictures from our trip! (The "leash" was not a big hit, but it worked for a little while. I gave in and just let him run free!)

Ok, so I broke down and bought a "leash!" Pre-toddler, I swore I would never degrade my child or myself and use one of these contraptions. I would talk bad about people that used them and feel so sorry for the child. Well, now that I have a toddler, I take it all back. Will no longer wants to ride in the stroller or the wagon...he only wants to walk. The bad thing about that is he doesn't want to hold my hand or listen to me telling him to stay out of the road or other harms way. He just turns back at me and gives me the look..you know the one...and laughs. So, I had to do it for his safety and my sanity. I am taking him to the zoo tomorrow, so that will be the trial run. That is if I can swallow my pride enough to actually use it in public!! Right now, Will thinks it is pretty cool because he says it's like Aiken's harness that we put on him when we take him for walks....we will see how long that lasts!

I would not wish the pain I have been feeling on my worst enemy! Wisdom teeth..no problem! Tonsils...torture!!!! Of all the pain I have felt in my 29 years of life, nothing compares to the pain the removal of my tonsils has brought me. Excruciating would be an understatement! The good news is that I think I am finally making progress. Today, I can actually swallow without crying. It still is very painful, but I can do it. Eating has not been an option..not even ice cream! I can barely drink liquids, so food has been out of the question. Anyway, I am hoping to be getting back to normal in the next few days! I can't even imagine what I would do without my wonderful husband, mother, and mother in law!! They have all gone above and beyond there duties to help me through this time!! I honestly can't wait to get back to my duties...this staying in bed for a week is not for me!!! Thanks again to all my wonderful family and friends for helping me and checking on me!!

Well, all I can say is "OUCH!!!" I went into this thinking that I was pretty tough and could handle the pain, I mean I did have a baby!! But, this has been a pretty rough recovery. Actually, every day of recovery seems to be more painful than the last. I am still taking pain pills, but they don't last very long. Pat, Nina, Pop Pop and Lori have been so helpful in nursing me and taking care of Will. Also, thank you to Casey, Elisa and Kiki for bringing food for Pat and Will! That was such a big help since I am obviously in no condition to cook! Barbara is coming today to stay for several days, so we are looking forward to her visit. Will can't wait to see his Gamma and play with her for a couple of days! She will be ready for a vacation after all the nursing she has been doing with Gampa and now me! Thanks to everyone for all the calls and all the help!! I will keep you updated on my recovery..it is time to get back in bed!
