FYI

In case any of you are interested, Will has officially changed Nana's name to Nina. This all started about a month ago and I kept thinking it was just a phase. But, it seems that he has decided he likes Nina better. Nina also likes it better because she thinks it makes her sound younger!! Although it has been a little hard to get used to saying, it is starting to stick. So, from now on when you read this and you see "Nina," it is not a misspelling, it is her new name! Of course, Pop Pop is still Pop Pop and I don't think that will be changing! Just wanted to get the word out so there was no confusion!

A Masterpiece!

While I was preparing dinner, Will made Pop Pop the subject of his masterpiece! What a funny boy!

Fun with Cousin Durham!

Will and I had so much fun on Saturday swimming with Ariail and Durham! We think Durham is so adorable and so much fun to play with. Not only did we enjoy there company, but Will also got an early b-day present from Uncle Chris, Aunt Ariail and Durham. He loves his new basketball goal and we all enjoyed the little cake! Will thanks them very much and hopes they have fun at the beach next week!

Mommy was not very smart and forget to put the card back in her camera. So, all the very cute pictures I took of Durham and Will together in the pool didn't really get taken! I am so upset because I really took some cute ones of both of them. Thank goodness Nana took a couple with her camera or I wouldn't have any at all. I think we might have gotten some on Ariail's camera with both the boys! Oh well, that just means that they will have to come back again soon!

Happy Father's Day!

Will had so much fun celebrating Father's Day with Dada and Pop Pop. We spent the night in Columbia last night with Nana and Pop Pop, so Will got to start the day off with breakfast with his Dada and Pop. After getting home and taking a nap, he played with Dada some and helped Pop Pop feed the horses! What a big day! As you can see in the picture, he was getting lots of kisses from Dada! We hope Gampa and Uncle Chris also had a good Father's Day!! I guess we need to wish Uncle KK a Happy Father's Day too since he does have Porter!! XOXO to everyone!

Showering Haley and Gene with "Baby Bell" Gifts!

We had so much fun last night helping to prepare Gene and Haley for the arrival of sweet "Baby Bell!" Haley's due date is July 15 and the sex of baby will be a surprise to everyone. I think it is a boy!! Haley looks beautiful and was in good spirits considering it is so hot and she is so far long!! They got lots of good stuff and we had fun celebrating with them. Caroline and Sarah Preston made the most adorable cake out of diapers, receiving blankets, pacifiers, etc. and she got lots of other great things! The food was wonderful and everything went great! Caroline, Casey, and I are getting pretty good at throwing parties together since we have done so many! Liz and Will Crosby also helped with the party and were wonderful! We all can't wait for the arrival of Baby Bell!!!

You want me to do what????

So, as expected, Will did not walk down the aisle as the ring bearer for Kendall and Emily's wedding. He was all dressed and ready for the part, but decided it was just too much to ask for someone not even 2! Although he looked absolutely adorable in the outfit his Gamma Kirk made him, he was in no mood to perform. I attempted to push him down the aisle, but he turned to me and let out a Mommmmmmaaaaaa and that was it! We pulled out gracefully before ruining the wedding. Other than that, things went great. He was on the best behavior a 2 year old could be on for a weekend full of festivities. Emily was an absolute beautiful bride and Kendall was a very handsome groom. Of course, the Kirk men, excluding Chris (i am not sure how he got out of this..i guess he was smart not to ever get involved) performed their wonderful Blues Brothers act at the rehearsal and wedding reception! I think we are all excited that this act is finally retired. Thanks goodness all the brothers are married now and we can let the act R.I.P! And, of course, there was the wedding prank. Kendall finally got his payback!! The groomsmen had a bowling ball connected to a chain with handcuffs and attached it to Kendall! After a while, Pat offered Kendall the key so he could free himself of the ole' ball and chain..Kendall declined. Instead, he went out to the parking lot and found bolt cutters in the back of a random truck, came back in the reception, and freed himself the Kirk way! Only at a Kirk boys wedding would there be a truck that just happens to have bolt cutters in the back! I hope Emily really knows what she has gotten herself into!!! We are so happy to have Emily as part of the family and enjoyed meeting and seeing all of her family! They are all so sweet just like her!! We also enjoyed getting to spend some time with all of our family that we don't get to see much. Will enjoyed seeing his Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins! Will and I want to send out a BIG Thank you to Nana and Aunt Lori for going with us to the wedding and helping so much! I truly could not have done it without them!

It's Official!

As some of you already know, and the rest of you are in total shock, we are selling our house and moving to Columbia! Yes, the dream house we custom built just for us. Yes, the same house Pat and my Dad (along with many others including Chris, Kendall, Barbara, Jim and others of you) spent MANY months sweating over and working so hard on. Yes, the house we said we would live in forever. That is the house we are now selling. It is amazing how your life changes when you have a child! Before Will, the farm was a great place to be. I had my horses, Pat had ALL his STUFF! Now, things have changed. Our lives have become more about Will and less about us. Being so far out has taken a toll on all of us and we are ready to be back in civilization! Will and I don't get to see Pat nearly as much as we would like because he has to drive from Camden to Irmo everyday, and we are starting to miss him a little! Also, running an errand is a two hour event ! Not to mention, we are going to love being closer to Nana and Pop Pop, and all our other friends and family!! Pat and I both feel that this move is what is best for our family. We are really excited about it and hope our house sells quickly! Will is also going to love having a neighborhood full of kids and being close to lots of fun things to do! Don't worry, Pop Pop is still planning on keeping the farm side so he can have a place to play!! That way Will can also enjoy the farm life and the city life!! I know that I am ready to be a city girl again! So, there is some news! I know some of you are still in shock, but we hope you will share in our excitement!
