Bounce Around!

Will had so much fun last night at Mac Wooten's birthday party! It took him a little while to warm up to everything, but once he got it he was on a roll! He had a blast jumping and bouncing around! Auntie Kim was so nice to go with us and help me! As you can see from the entry below, Kim had some fun of her own! We hope Mac has a great 2nd birthday!

Always Obey the Rules!

I guess there is a reason why they put restrictions on kids blowup castles! Sweet Auntie Kim was being a trooper and showing Will that it was fun to play, and she did a double flip off of the dinosaur. Lesson learned.....when they say 45 pound weight limit, they mean 45 pound weight limit! I only wish I had an action shot from start to finish of this flip...it was hilarious. Lucky for Kim, it was a very soft landing!!

Welcome to the World, Sweet Sophie!

Just wanted to welcome Sophie Lynn Peek, daughter of Sally and Scotty Peek, to the world! She was born on Sunday, May 7 weighing in at 6lbs. 2oz. I went to see her yesterday and she is absolutely beautiful! She is this tiny little bundle of love and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with her and Sally. Sally looks awesome and is a total natural at being a mommy! I had forgotten how tiny newborns are and how wonderful it is to just have them in your arms! Will did not get to go on this visit, but I can't wait for him to meet Sophie! So, Congrats to the new parents and enjoy this wonderful time!

Fun in the Sun!

Will and I had so much fun swimming at Nana and Pop's on Saturday! Pop heated the pool for us so it was nice and warm!! Thanks Pop Pop!! Nana, Will, and I enjoyed some time in the sun together! Although Will loves to swim, he also enjoys exploring the back yard just as much. He is so busy!! After an afternoon of fun, Lori came home to Camden with us and spent the night! Pat went to Clemson again to help Kendall with his house, so Lori was sweet enough to have a spend the night party with me and Will. We thank Lori so much and enjoyed her company! Will thinks she is very funny and quite amusing. I think Lori has finally figured out that he is pretty great too!!

Lessons in Sharing!

One thing Pat has definitely had to learn with having a toddler is that sharing food is a must. This is something Pat does not really like to do, so I am sure it is a difficult lesson to learn. I will say that he is making the transition very well. Even if Will has a plate of the same food we have, he still wants to sit in one our laps and eat off our plate. Although he likes us to feed him with a spoon or fork, he is very good at sneaking his little fingers in the plate or bowl of food! As you all know, food is very important to Pat...therefore, I am very proud of Dada for being so willing to share his food with Will! The picture is Dada and Will this morning "sharing" a bowl of cereal. I honestly don't know how I am going to feed these boys when Will gets older. I suppose I will be a frequent shopper at Sam's!!

Happy late Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!! Hope everyone had a great one! We had a good weekend, and an interesting one. Pat went to Clemson for Kendall's bachelor/house fixing up party, so Will and I were off to Nana and Pop's. Friday night Jessica Trotter (Thanks again Jess!!) and I chaperoned the LPT Spring Formal. Now, this was very interesting and eye opening. It truly made me want to put Will in a bubble and never reproduce again, in fear of having a girl! I have never seen such things before in my life. These girls have no respect for themselves and are just throwing themselves at these boys! It scared me a little. There were a few exceptions (including my little sister, Lori, who behaved herself),but all in all it was almost embarrassing. Jess and I were shocked! It takes a lot to shock me, but I guess I have changes a little since having a child of my own. After that, I went by Caroline and Walks house for a little while. Got back to Nana and Pop's around 12:45 to find Will wide awake. As always, he won't sleep at their house. He actually did go to sleep at his usual time, but woke up and was ready to party. So, we were up all night! Saturday, Mom and I went to lunch and did some running around. Lori actually babysat Will and took him to lunch! Pat came home early Sunday bearing gifts from Will for Mother's Day. It was a very nice small digital camera so I can always have one with me to take pictures of Will. The only other camera I have is big, so it is hard to carry around. Thanks Dada and Will for the wonderful present. Pat, Will, and I spent most of Sunday on the couch watching tv to make up for all of our lack of sleep over the weekend. It was a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day...cuddled up on the couch with both my boys!

The good thing that came out of the whole evening was that Will got to spend some quality time with his Gamma and Gampa! I went with Ariail and Durham to the hospital, leaving Will with his Dada, Gamma, and Gampa. They said he was on his best behavior and I know he enjoyed his time with them! Will thanks them for his new puzzle book and all his frog goodies! Will sends lots of love there way!

Things don't always go as planned and thank god for angels!

What was supposed to be a nice dinner with the Kirks to celebrate their birthdays, turned out to be quite the opposite. Leslie had the grand idea of meeting everyone (Jim, Barbara, Pat, Chris, Ariail, and Baby Durham) at Za's on Clemson Road at 6:00. This turned out to be a big mistake. Everyone had arrived except Chris and Durham.....Ariail having that mothers instinct knew something was wrong before she got the phone call. Then the call came in...."Ariail, this is Chris, don't panic, but Durham and I just got into a car accident!" Thankfully, everyone was fine! Durham and Chris both were not hurt! After a hospital trip for both Durham and Chris, the doctors gave them the ok! Ariail handled all of the this exceptionally well! Although I know she was freaking out, she really held herself together! We are so thankful that everyone is safe and sound and that we have angels watching over Chris and sweet baby Durham!

I just have to add this because it blew me away! The kicker of the whole story is that the teenage girl that smashed into the back of Chris has no license. Her mom showed up on the scene before the police and actually asked Chris to lie and say that she was driving the car!! Ok, first of all, that is setting a brilliant example for your child! Second of all, she asked the wrong person to lie for her. I guess it was better for her he is "JUST" a lawyer and not an off duty cop! (HA!) I wish I could have been there to see Chris's face! Ariail's face would have even been better. Too bad she wasn't there to let that woman have it!

Cruisin' on the tractor with Pop Pop!

One of Will's favorite things to do is ride on the tractor with Pop Pop. He loves the weekends because he knows his Pop is coming out and he will get a ride! Not only did he get to ride on this tractor, but he made Pop take him on every piece of equipment we have on the farm!! He is such a silly boy! Will also got to come to Aiken this weekend with Dada to watch Momma in the horse show. Staying in the hotel was a bit of a challenge, but all in all it went better than I expected. Will got to see a lot of horses and got lots of attention from all the people! I think he probably has had enough horse show for a while though! Will also wants to thank his Auntie Kim for sending him all his new books! We are both enjoying having new books and love them. The stories are very cute and Will loves all the beautiful illustrations!
