Tonight was a big night for Will and one that I hope he plays a part in for many years to come. This was his second year helping in the presentation of the Will Busbee Award for the deserving senior at A.C. Flora High School. The quality of the picture is terrible, but it is Caroline Milliken, Casey Fields, Cameron Ballance (recipient of W.B. Award), Pat and Will, and me. As always, Casey delivered a beautiful speech and presentation of the award. She always does such a great job with this award and definitely gets across what a wonderful person Will B. was. I know we all miss him very much and hold him very close to our hearts! We are all very lucky to have such a wonderful angel! Our Will was on his best behavior and even got to hand Cameron the award! He even let out a big "hooray" when she was presented with it. Very cute!!! We are all so proud of Will for hanging in there an hour and a half past his bedtime and can't wait until he understands it was for a very good reason! Thanks again, Casey, for such a wonderful speech! We enjoyed seeing Casey and Caroline tonight and hope to see them again soon!

He gets it from his Dada!! (and his Momma, too!)

During Will's last overnight visit with Nana and Pop Pop this past weekend, Nana took Will to BeBeep Toy Store. He was told he could pick out anything he wanted in the whole store. Did Will pick out a truck, ball, or action figure???? No, of course not! He picked out a bag full of fake food! He, of course, did not know it was fake until they got in the car and he proceeded to try to eat every piece. Nana said it was the funniest thing ever. Will would try to eat every piece and then get mad and throw it down on the floor when he realized it wasn't real. I am sure this was very frustrating....it would have made me mad too. He is definitely our child....loves that food! He has obviously gotten over the fact that it not real and likes to carry it around the house. As you can see in the picture, he is making sure it is all there!

Well, that was fast..my prayers have been answered and just in time! The rain has stopped and the sun is trying to peak out through the clouds! Hopefully, I can get this wild man outside before too long!

Rain, Rain, Go Away.....

I can't stay cooped up in the house with Will all day!!!! It is 2:10pm and it already feels like 10:00 at night! Will and I have read every book in the house and played with all the toys, and it is time to go outside. Unfortunately, it is still sprinkling and everything outside is soaking wet! Will is definitely getting bored with me and I am afraid he might start bouncing off the walls soon!! He needs to be "turned out" for a while! It is amazing what a couple hours outside will do for a one and a half year old, and for the sanity of Momma! Here he comes trying to ride his very small play tractor...he is determined to make this work!

Easter Fun!

Will had so much fun with his Auntie Kim all weekend!! Not only did she bring him lots of good gifts, but she also kept him very entertained all weekend! Saturday Will and Auntie K decorated a tree outside with easter eggs and had lots of fun dyeing eggs!! Somehow we kept the mess minimal!! On Sunday, we went to church (Pat, Leslie, Kim, Lori, Nana, and Will..somehow Pop Pop talked his way out of going to church!!) where Will was on his best behavior. He even got to participate in a little Easter egg hunt with the church nursery. Lunch and nap was next on the agenda, which was followed by another Easter egg hunt! Will is quite the little master at finding eggs! What a great Easter weekend!! The only thing missing was his Gamma and Gampa, Uncle KK and Aunt Emily, and Aunt Ariail, Uncle Chris and Durham! We sure did miss them and hope they had a great Easter! Will sends all his love to everyone!

Will and I had so much fun watching cousin Durham today! He is absolutely adorable and such a good baby. Durham and Will were completely fascinated with eachother and had lots of fun "talking" and laughing together! Durham is so happy and thought Will and I were very entertaining! We are so glad Aunt Ariail called us to help and can't wait to go back again! Will also thanks Aunt Ariail, Uncle Chris, and Durham for all his Easter goodies!

Will and I had a very big day today. I got brave and ventured out to Stride Rite with Will to get him some new shoes. This is something I usually don't do without someone else to help me. Will can be quite the handful on outings. This shopping trip was no exception! You know how when someone writes a bad check and they display the check for everyone to see so that person can't write a check in that store again?.....Well, I think they probably will post a picture of Will and me in Stride Rite so we can never enter the store again! I don't know what happens to Will when we enter a store, but something goes off inside of him and causes the worst behavior possible. He was throwing shoes on the floor and not once, but four times, went to the back to help the lady find the right size shoe for him. Needless to say, it was not an enjoyable experience. I did, however, manage to get him three new pairs of shoes! I think I will be playing the guessing game next time! After our wonderful shopping trip, we went to Pop Pop's office for a little visit. Will always has fun at Pop Pop's office because all the ladies give him lots of attention! He is all boy..loving the attention from the ladies! He also loves seeing Pop Pop any chance he gets and he even managed to come home with some money in his pocket that he got from Pop Pop's desk drawer! After that we headed to Nana and Pop's to try and get a good picture of Will in his Easter outfit in front of her flowers. Not a good idea to try this alone. I spent the whole time chasing him around their yard. He had a blast running from me!!

I forgot to tell my funny story of Will when he woke up this morning, so I thought I would share it now. He always wakes up and talks to himself for a little while before I go up and get him out of bed. This morning, he woke up and talked a little and then was quiet for a while. After about 15 minutes, he started talking again and I was about to go up and get him when I heard.."Hello?" He is so funny!! He was just making sure someone was going to come and get him!! Funny, funny boy!!!

Well, Will has had a very busy week! Wednesday, his Auntie Kim came to see him with gifts in hand!! She brought him cookies, markers, and a coloring book. (The markers are the kind that only show up in the "special" coloring book so he can't write all over the furniture and walls! Thank you, Auntie Kim for being so thoughtful!) Will had so much fun coloring with Auntie K and eating his yummy cookies. Pat, also, enjoyed the coloring book and showed Will his talent of staying in the lines! After spending time with Auntie K on Wednesday and Thursday, Will was off the Nana and Pop Pop's for the night so I could head to Charlotte for a horse show. (where I was Champion in my division and 4th in the $25,000 Hunter Classic..go mommy!!) On Friday, Nana brought Will home to meet his favorite babysitter, Frances, until Dada got home from work. Pat and Will had a little boys night on Friday night and spent the day together on Saturday. They always have lots of fun! I got home late Saturday night and finally got to see my boy this morning when he woke up!! I missed him so much and couldn't wait to get my hands on him again!! Will, on the other hand, loves the one he is with! He doesn't care who he is with as long as he gets lots of attention! While this makes me very comfortable with leaving him, it also makes me a little upset....he could miss me a little! I am just glad he is such a happy, adaptable little boy!!

Hammering away..just like Daddy!

Will loves his tool station that his Gamma and Gampa gave him for Christmas. It is fun to be just like Daddy and play with hammers and screwdrivers! He sure does miss his Gamma and Gampa and hopes to see them real soon!

Will is now 21 months and 1 day old! That is unbelievable! I can't believe he is almost 2! They really do grow up so fast. This past weekend was my very good friend Elisa Miots wedding, so we spent the weekend at my parents in Columbia for all the festivities. Thank you, Nana and Pop Pop, for taking such good care of Will all weekend so Mama could be a good bridesmaid! Also, thank you, Lori, for taking care of Will Saturday night so Nana and Pop could come to the wedding! Of course, like always, Will was too excited to sleep during our stay at N and P's. He did much better this time, but still not like he does at home. Nana and Pop to this day are convinced it is because they are more exciting than me. I don't know! So, since we have been home, Will has been catching up on all his lost sleep. He is so adorable and full of energy. Nana says he needs a helmet and a life jacket on at all times when he is at her house! (They have a pool and Will is not at all afraid of the water!) He chases the dogs around the pool and scares us all half to death.....as he is laughing all the way! He always has a blast over there and N and P have to clean up after him for 2 days, not to mention catch up on there lack of sleep! But, they always rally and are ready for him again by day 4! He is too precious to be without!
