Meeting Emma!

Kiki and I went to the hospital yesterday to see Elisa and meet sweet Emma! She is absolutely beautiful and Elisa is doing great! Emma looks like both Elisa and Glenn and has a head full of black hair!

Sunday at the Lake

We took Will to see Gamma and Gampa at the lake on Sunday. He had so much fun riding in the canoe and playing in the water! Will loved getting to spend the afternoon with his Gamma and Gampa and can't wait to see them again!

Emma Campbell Lumpkin

Congratulations to Elisa and Glenn on the birth of Emma! She was born at 3:00am weighing 8lbs and 21in. We are so excited and can't wait to meet her!

Lori's Graduation!

On Saturday, we celebrated Lori's graduation from high school! I cannot believe my baby sister is out of high school and leaving for college in NYC in the fall. She looked beautiful and we are all so proud of her! Wishing her much luck in her upcoming journeys! XOXOXO

End of the Year Luau!

We had a Luau for Will's end of the year party today and it was so fun. The kids had so much fun snacking on tropical treats and playing a little Limbo! They had pineapple and cream cheese sandwiches, fruit kabobs, chicken and pineapple kabobs, and coconut cookies. It was all yummy and in Will's words it was "the best party ever!" Will's teacher helped them make hula skirts and cute t-shirts this week so they could all be decked out for the big Luau. I just love his teacher and wish she could teach him again next year.

Thoughts....

As I often do, I have thought a lot lately of the past year and where we have been. It has been a year since we lost the baby and it is still something I think of on a daily basis. Although the pain is not nearly as sharp and raw, it is still something I continue to feel. I can remember this time last year and thinking that time will never pass and I will never be the same. Well, time has proven to heal and Will has continued to show me what a gift everyday we have together is and what joys it brings. With the passing of Mother's Day, I truly know that I am blessed to have Will and I am so thankful for him. I love my sweet boy more than I ever imagined possible and thank God for him everyday! I know God has a plan and we are now just praying that in his plan is another baby for all of us to love!

My sweet boy....

When I picked Will up from school today, his teacher told me that he announced to the class that "when he grew up, he wanted to marry his mommy!!" I love that boy!!!

Fun Filled Weekend!

We had a very busy and fun weekend. Pat and I started our weekend Friday night with a get together at Hunter and Amanda's. We had a really good time and enjoyed seeing everyone! Saturday morning we took Will to the Forest Acres Festival where he had a blast!! They had pony rides, blow up slides and lots of other rides. We met up with Will's friends from out neighborhood, David and Kirby, and they got to ride some rides together. We came home for a nap and then headed to one of Will's friends from school, Olivia's, birthday party at the Little Gym. Will played hard and had some much fun! Saturday night, Will spent the night at Nina and Pop Pops so Pat and I could hit two parties! Thank you Nina and Pop!! We picked Will up and headed home for a brunch with Gamma and Gampa. Will enjoyed his time with them and are so glad they came to see him! They gave me a beautiful azalea for Mother's Day...thank you! After a quick nap, we headed over to Sophie's 2nd Birthday Party. Once again, Will had a blast playing with all his friends!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Will couldn't be more of a gift and I just love him so very much. He is so sweet and gave me lots of hugs and kisses! I also feel blessed to have such a wonderful mother! She is the best and I love her so much. I am really loving her right now because she gave me The Roomba, a robot vacuum cleaner. This thing is so cool and just navigates its way around your house and cleans!! Thank you, Nina, I love it and can't wait to always have clean floors!

Pat was also so sweet and gave me some equipment I needed for my photography! I am looking forward to working with it and making my pictures better!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! I know that I feel very blessed to know so many wonderful mothers!!

Jumping in Puddles!

Everytime it rains, Will begs to go jump in the puddles. Well, yesterday afternoon was no exception. Although it may look like a small pond, it is actually the puddle that acquired after our rain storm yesterday. It is lovely, isn't it. It is funny that we wonder why our grass won't grow in there!! Anyway, what else were we to do but let Will go in there and go wild!!

Trip to the Zoo

Will and I had a date to the zoo on Friday after school. It was a beautiful day and we had the best time! I really enjoyed my special time with him and can't wait for another afternoon date like that one!
